I Am King didn’t start as a book idea.
It started as a family practice.
My husband planted the seed when he reminded us that the lessons we were teaching our son deserved to be preserved. Not just spoken, but captured. So we began recording Izaiah as he shared motivational messages not as “cute” moments, but as a way of reinforcing the truths we wanted rooted in him.
Children learn best in their own language, and for our son, that language was video. He spoke from his heart, and we gave him the space, the encouragement, and the consistency to grow into his voice.
Over time, his words began to take shape.
Then one morning at 4 a.m., God woke me up. What I had been witnessing in real time his confidence, his affirmations, his understanding of who he is came together all at once. I felt led to document what had already been flowing through him. Page by page, the message unfolded not as something I created, but as something I was entrusted to preserve.
